When Rory forst spoke of notifi for the medical field, he said he wasn't sure if it was going to be called notifiMD or notifiMED. I'm sure he just started using notifiMD to be able to easily reference it.
But as you point out, it's far bigger than just physician / MD's. It's uses for the medical industry is never ending, from training, to patient follow up, to scheduling to education etc....
With Penn Medical And also the 600 physician's group Rory spoke about back in June along with at least one Top Pharmecutical Company this will be a behemoth alone and very well could be spun out as a stand alone entity just as notifiEDU (will be).
