I don't read all the messages so I don't know if this has been discussed or not. There's just way too much meaningless junk posted in between relevant posts to spend time reading everything.
With that said...correct the Odyssey specs do differ from the Umidigi S2 specs. That aside they look identical. We know (or think we know) the business plan. They are a software company needing to sell their software. They are not a hardware manufacturing company. They need the hardware (phones) to sell their software. Buy a bunch of attractive looking inexpensive phones with good sellable specs and install your software you are wanting to sell and rebrand the product as your own product. They need to dispel the speculation that they are promoting a single Umidigi S2 phone and promoting their own Utopya Odyssey. The crew on the other site has all the fuel they need for their campaign of destruction until it can be proven otherwise. Utopya has yet to do this. To date they have only shown they have a working phone in their presence, not a Utopya phone. The images on the U site show the UTop logo on the back. Some say photoshopped some say not. Irrelevant, that's where they have it placed. So we have Instagram posts. Video and photo. Purposeful or oversight none of these show the Utopya logo. You have the video of the phone in hand being rotated around some. In that the hand covers the lower part of the backside so you can't see if the Umidigi logo is on it (that's where Umidigi displays it). Hand is also mostly covering the mid back so you can't tell if a U logo is there or not. The most recent Instagram has a very clear HD shot of the back. Looks like a nice textured shell btw and images and YouTube reviews I've seen of the Umidigi don't appear to have that back. The image is again cut off though so no logo of either or any company can be identified. There have been other posts of the phone. One showed a bit of screen movement to show us it's a working phone. It had a Utopya background. Everyone knows any background can be used as wallpaper on any phone. So that simply showed us that they have a functioning phone. Others show the phone with the same multi colored space kind of theme background that is in the Umidigi S2 pics and vids. Again they swiped screens to prove to all its a real functional phone, but not an Odyssey. We have been fighting this battle for them for months. They need to step up and show proof that they have at least one real Utopya phone that leaves no room for question.
I know they read these boards and their Twitter comments based on their follow up Tweets. People commenting about date and time never changing and next tweets its addressed. Other such things followed up on. So I hope they read this one. It's meant to be helpful.
Distinctive proof that the phone being promoted is in fact an Odyssey and not an Umidigi will go a long way into squashing the fake and scam argument prevelant on LieHub. Still things to do, but that's a first and very important step. So what is needed is a good quality HD 360 video of the phone. Show entire phone on and functioning...no logo games. Followed up with ultra HD pictures at many angles of ENTIRE phone. Again not cut off. No logo games. It needs to be clear that this phone is in fact our Utopya phone and not Umidigi's.
With this done I think a lot of positive feedback and momentum will occur. Showing without a doubt that they have their OWN phone is what's needed immediately. The software installed can remain under wraps, but the doubt being used as ammo is on the phone itself even being real and Utopyas. It's only so far been shown to be real, not Utopyas. Shareholders have been fighting this battle with the forces against. Utopya needs to step in and fight this as well and unarguable proof of the phone being a Utopya will be a great step in this.
