The West Hollywood City Council on Monday passed a resolution to remove President Donald Trump’s star from Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“West Hollywood City council unanimously passes resolution asking the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove the Donald Trump star on Hollywood Walk of Fame,” West Hollywood Mayor John Duran tweeted Monday night.

The Washington Times reported that Duran said the resolution “is not because of his conservative politics or his conservative policies. It is for the abuse of women, minorities, immigrants, the disabled. ... You’ve crossed a line of decency.”
The city council’s resolution is largely symbolic, as it is simply a request that the Los Angeles City Council and Hollywood Chamber of Commerce remove the marker, which has never been done before.
Trump was awarded his star on the prestigious stretch of Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, in 2007 during the height of his “Apprentice” fame, and it has been defaced and vandalized numerous times since he has been in office
