RESTON, Va., Aug. 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Carahsoft Technology Corporation , The Trusted Government IT Solutions Provider™, in collaboration with VMware , today announced that Carahsoft received the Customer Partnering/Strategic Alliances Award at the recent 8th Annual Institute for Excellence in Sales (IES) Awards Gala in June in Falls Church, Va. More than 300 sales and business leaders attended the event.
In 2017, Carahsoft and VMware together worked directly with U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) contracting office to expand the VMware adoption via the VMware Cloud Provider Program at the government entity. Through the program, which directly supports USDA’s roles as a certified Shared Service Provider, the USDA offers VMware products on a pay-as-you-go, consumption-based model to other federal agencies that accommodates changing requirements and avoids the lock-in of traditional annual purchasing cycles.
