Mikko Ayub appointed as CEO of Aktia Bank Plc

The Board of Directors of Aktia Bank Plc has appointed Mikko Ayub (aged 49, M.Sc., MBA) as CEO. Ayub will start as CEO on 1 October 2018.

Ayub joins Aktia from Nordea Bank, where he most recent worked as Executive Adviser to Commercial and Business Banking and previously headed the Nordea Markets operation in Finland, the Baltics and Russia.

Juha Hammarén , who has acted as Interim CEO since March 2018, will continue in this position until Mikko Ayub assumes his role as CEO. After the transition, Hammarén will resume his role as Deputy CEO and COO.
