Welcome to DECN and buying retail shares on the open market. I’ve added to my already overweight position at small bites over the past 6 months-stopped in June. The larger the buy order I placed the higher the price rose so I typically ate the trading fee and bought smaller lots.
How and why this stock trades where it does is beyond my comprehension. I’m not an expert, but the valuation of this company and it’s product portfolio seems to be worth at least double multiples of its current market cap. Does anyone have insight of the level of patent protection? Can anyone speak to an estimated valuation?
I’ve spoken to KB in the past and he clearly indicated he understood the valuation of the patents and portfolio. My takeaway was that the current MC is no where near what he believes the fair value of the company to be. I assume previous M&A offers were rejected because of this.
If you believe in the company, it’s portfolio, it’s leadership and it’s business plan (or it’s ability to monetize) your likely in the waiting game mode like many of us. Hopefully patience is rewarded.
