With equity holdings, when you sell there is a 3 day settling period so the proceeds cannot be rebought until after those 3 days. Between Market Makers, they can play games like this creating a temporary huge drop. This can often be a contrarian bullish sign of big money wanting in, and of course cheaper, IMO.
