Effingham, IL, Aug. 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Last week, Heartland Dental , the nation’s largest dental support organization, welcomed nearly 150 of its newest, incoming supported dentists to its Effingham, Ill. headquarters for the 2018 Dr. LEADS event. Dr. LEADS, which stands for Learning Elements for Achieving Dental Success, indoctrinates newly supported dentists from around the country—and the vast majority of them are recent dental school graduates.

“Dr. LEADS is a very important aspect of welcoming newly supported dentists into the Heartland Dental family,” said Patrick Bauer, Heartland Dental President & CEO. “These dentists are still learning what it takes to run a supported practice all while being strong leaders amongst their teams. We cherish this event as the perfect time to bring them all together to start their Heartland Dental journey off on the right foot.”

Dr. LEADS offers three days of valuable learning experiences in a wide variety of clinical and leadership topics. This year’s lineup of speakers included international speaker and author on micro-endodontics and endodontic technology, Dr. George Bruder. Attendees also learned from Dr. Mark Hodge, a nationally recognized speaker on topics including Invisalign, patient communication, and team engagement. Featured speakers also included Dr. Rick Workman, Heartland Dental’s Founder and Executive Chairman, Bauer, and other Heartland Dental leaders. The event offers networking and opportunities to tour and see, firsthand, goings-on at the Effingham headquarters.

“Each year, it’s always a pleasure to meet young dentists and impart knowledge that we believe will help shorten their learning curve,” said Dr. Workman. “Running a successful dental office has its rewards. But, it also comes with obstacles that a young dentist must navigate. Our sole focus is to remove obstacles so a starting dentist’s path is smoother. Dr. LEADS is our introduction to the things that will make them successful clinicians and leaders.”
