micro, here is my version of what they want.
All of us get an implanted chip. at birth or when they mandate it. The chip will be not copyable, or removeable from a body. It will be used for all financial transactions. IRS will just record keepers and automatically do you taxes and take what is needed as they go. There will be no underground economy, no money laundering, no illegal cash businesses. Hey, I got two middle aged sisters that live in an apartments on public assistance. One cleans houses for cash, the other cuts hair for cash--not allowed under "The Borg".
2nd, there is a murder on a street corner, no guns by then but a club is used. Cops called and GPS with time lapse recordings can see who the perpetrator was there at the time and how his body moved by time lapse and where he is now.
So crimes will be tough to commit. And for the wonderful politicians, no false sex claims as the time lapse of chip locations will go back forever. Big Brother will know everything about everybody.
Easy sell too, Are you honest? Then you have nothing to lose. if you are opposed to it you must be a crook. Society will be dumbed down by then to accept it.
