I have not looked into this (yet) but I would imagine that Geo-positioning encryption would help prevent (if not totally eliminate) remote attacks.
Computer/system is in latitude x by longitude x with established distance tolerance(for lack of better word), say 1/4 mile. authentication request is in any other location and not within defined parameters above.
