WINNIPEG, Manitoba, July 25, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Canada Foundation for Innovation

The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Sport, will be at Red River College ’s Paterson GlobalFoods Institute to announce funding for research infrastructure projects at colleges and polytechnics across Canada. This support will help colleges work with local industry to innovate and give students hands-on learning and skills to prepare them for the jobs of tomorrow.

The Minister will be joined by college researchers, students and industry partners who will be available to speak to the media. Canada Foundation for Innovation Board Director, Mr. Ian Seymour, and Member of Parliament for Charleswood-St. James-Assiniboia-Headingley, Doug Eyolfson, will also attend the announcement.

Prior to the announcement, the Minister will deliver a keynote at the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce about the value of investing in research to strengthen the economy, create jobs and grow the middle class.
