Financial Controller
nFüsz is currently seeking
an experienced Financial Controller to join our team in Southern
California.
Who we are:
Our proprietary
next-generation interactive video technology is the core of our new broadcast
and cloud-based, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products. We offer
subscription-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM), sales lead
generation, and social engagement software on mobile and desktop platforms for
sales-based organizations, consumer brands, and artists seeking greater levels
of engagement and higher conversion rates. Our service is built around our
proprietary “Video-First” notifi-technology, which places interactive video
front and center in all customer and prospect communications.
About the role:
The Controller will provide leadership and
management for the company’s accounting, reporting and transaction processing
activities and financial reporting.
What you’ll do:
• Develop and implement internal controls that are Sarbanes Oxley compliant
• Direct the general ledger month-end close process and preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements, including revenue booking and reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
• Prepare and file public reports 10-K, 10-Q, and other SEC Reports.
• Deliver fully reviewed financial statements to the CFO on a timely monthly basis.
• Work closely with Sales Operations functions to analyze and explain variances.
• Manage annual audit and quarterly review process and prepare draft financial statements and notes.
• Manage US and international annual filings for corporate income tax, sales tax, and property tax, and worldwide tax compliance.
• Be a key player on a team that will select and implement an online ERP system.
Our ideal candidate:
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Business or Accounting.
• CPA required.
• Minimum 10 years progressively responsible accounting and finance experience in technology companies, ideally in information technology services.
• 5+ years in a senior level accounting role.
• Experience in high-tech, fast growth start-ups and in public companies a plus.
Required Skills and Abilities
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP required; SEC reporting experience required.
• Experience with Netsuite a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel including pivot table and V-lookup.
• Experience in high-tech, fast growth start-ups is a plus and experience in public companies is required.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
• Demonstrated proficiency in ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
