KeyedIn Extends Its Cloud-Based PPM Solution and Sets the Standard for Executive Visibility Into Projects

MINNEAPOLIS, July 23, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- KeyedIn today launched a new version of its Cloud-based Project Portfolio Management (PPM) solution that delivers improved visibility into projects and portfolios at the executive level.  KeyedIn Projects now supports a range of project management frameworks – from traditional waterfall and agile to hybrid and custom approaches, as well as an innovative new Kanban view at the portfolio level.   KeyedIn ’s PPM  solution improves the automation of projects, people and processes to deliver new levels of productivity, profitability and predictability.

Organizations are increasingly using a range of project management approaches, with 37% using waterfall, 21% agile, 20% hybrid (agile/waterfall approach) and 24% other approaches, according to the “Pulse of the Profession” report by the Project Management Institute (PMI).  With the new version of KeyedIn Projects, virtually any of these approaches are supported, thanks to new, highly-flexible user-defined project types and workflows.  It also features audit capabilities that track any changes that have been made, who made them and when. In addition, KeyedIn Projects now enables customers to define notifications for projects that require approvals as they move through stages.

“All the flexibility in the latest version of KeyedIn Projects allows executives to see and manage strategic projects in a way that makes sense for their organizations.  Gone are the days when an entire company, or even one department, executes projects in the same way.  Our new release provides flexibility to accommodate these changes,” said Kevin Hurley, Chief Technology Officer for KeyedIn.  “Plus, we’ve brought the visual simplicity of a Kanban board to the portfolio level, so executives who are interested in initiatives, but not individual tasks, can monitor and manage the work being accomplished.”

In addition to supporting a wide range of project management frameworks and the Portfolio Kanban view, new KeyedIn Projects capabilities unveiled today include:

  • Custom definition of project notifications to be executed as part of the user defined project workflow.
  • Using Web hooks to notify a web application in support of more integrated solutions offerings.
  • Project Audit to provide visibility to data changes made to the project, through an easy to view list by day on the project record.

KeyedIn Project V6.3 will be available immediately to customers with an active KeyedIn Projects subscription license.
