Working for a large (if not THE largest) chemical

Working for a large (if not THE largest) chemical company in the world I have found shareholders tend to be the last ones to"know". Local press puts out stories the same day shareholders become aware of what the company is up to. I don't expect this to be any different. Even as share holders we are only the general public and will learn of any dealings good or bad at the same time the general public does. One day we will wake up and be very very very happy(or so I'm told). I believe that to be true, so much so I own 1% of the float.
