Washington, D.C., July 18, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- American auto workers from across the country, along with Senator Doug Jones (D-AL), Congressman Drew Ferguson (R-GA) and Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (R-IN), will be holding a ‘Drive-In’ to showcase how tariffs will negatively impact U.S. auto manufacturing. Employees from several international auto companies will ‘Drive-In’ to the U.S. Capitol in vehicles they built themselves. Lawmakers will join employees from high auto-production states like Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and South Carolina, to share their story on how important international automakers are in their communities and to the U.S. economy.

Employees representing international automakers will be joined by Members of Congress to discuss the harm to the U.S. auto industry that will be caused by the proposed Section 232 tariffs on auto and auto parts imports.

They will be joined by Members of Congress to share the impact of tariffs on U.S. auto manufacturing.
