LANCASTER, Pa., July 17, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today Connexion Health announced that it has extended its leadership team with the appointment of new sales and product development executives. Following the company’s inception late last year, John Ward joins Connexion Health as Vice President of Sales; Arun Rajapgopalan is Connexion Health’s new Venture Architect; and Mike Dise is its new Senior Software Engineer. The executives join the Connexion Health team to expand the Connexion platform’s capabilities and help drive adoption of the technology globally.
Connexion Health launched earlier this year with the National Basketball Association’s Sacramento Kings as one of the marquee initial customers for Connexion, an AI-powered health and fitness technology platform. Connexion is a walk-in kiosk that fuses multiple powerful sensors with AI for touchless, automated health assessments, coupled with an extensive app marketplace capable of enabling countless health and fitness apps. Connexion is poised to dramatically increase access to care, streamline the healthcare experience, and empower individuals with personalized insights and action plans.

In his role as Vice President of Sales, John Ward will leverage his extensive sales management expertise to drive the sales and distribution strategy for Connexion Health and the Connexion units. With a demonstrated track record for delivering product, branding, marketing, sales, and distribution channel innovation, Ward has led sales and marketing teams to achieve record-breaking results. Prior to Connexion Health, Ward helped build sports businesses such as TaylorMade-adidas Golf Company with internal and external stakeholders, and managed full operations to target performance.
As Venture Architect for Connexion Health and its parent company, Aspire Ventures, Arun Rajapgopalan will oversee Connexion Health’s product management and business development. In this role, Rajapgopalan will focus on developing the market dynamics of the Connexion platform, establishing its competitive differentiation in order to build out the platform’s business model. Prior to Connexion Health, Rajapgopalan founded FrameSpeed, a company that utilized artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and elastic storage to convert handwritten data into digitized information.
As Senior Software Engineer, Mike Dise will lead the development of the core code for the Connexion units. Dise’s primary focus will be expanding the Connexion platform’s capabilities, bolstering and protecting the code against failures, and enhancing the code to ease troubleshooting and streamline improvements. Prior to Connexion Health, Dise was Senior Data Integration Developer for the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, and before that, he was a Senior Software Engineer for NEWSCYCLE Solutions, a provider of software and services for the global media industry.
