Las Vegas, NV, July 16, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The 2018 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event champion was presented with a custom championship bracelet from Jostens early Sunday morning at the Main Event Final Table in Las Vegas.  John Cynn from Illinois took home a cash prize of $8.8 million along with the WSOP world champion bracelet created by Jostens, the leading custom jewelry designer and producer for professional, college, and high school champions across the country. Custom-created by Jostens’ artisan jewelry team, the bracelet is intricately assembled from over 40 uniquely-cast parts and crafted with 427 grams of white and yellow gold. The entire bracelet features 356 white diamonds totaling 25.5 carats, 626 black diamonds totaling 14.8 carats, and 194 rubies at an outstanding 3.8 carats. Each link of the bracelet mimics a playing card, perfectly doubled down on both sides of the bracelet. This one-of-a kind design ups the ante by linking a diamond and ruby encrusted band to a show-stopping centerpiece featuring the acronym “WSOP” written in rubies that are set against a backdrop of rows of perfectly placed white diamonds. The centerpiece is punctuated on all sides by a row of black diamonds. Opening like a locket, the stunning centerpiece bracelet top reveals a hidden compartment designed to house the two winning cards from the player’s final tournament, preserving the winning hand for all time. This year’s winning player’s bracelet holds an ace of hearts and a two of diamonds. “Jostens has a longstanding tradition and commitment to celebrate champions and their championship moments, and we’re honored to once again be the official bracelet manufacturer of the World Series of Poker,” said Miran Armutlu, VP Jewelry, Jostens. “This year’s bracelet – like its champion – will be remembered for its unique contribution to the game and to the WSOP tradition." “We’re proud to work with Jostens to honor our World Series of Poker Main Event champion,” said Ty Stewart, Executive Director of WSOP.   “Our continuing partnership reflects the outstanding achievements of our champions and the game.” “Poker is a sport, so it is great that a poker player can win a trophy piece of jewelry made by such an elite manufacturer in the sport industry,” said Simone Ricci, Director of Sponsorship & Events of WSOP.
