MONACO, July 13, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Scorpio Tankers Inc. (NYSE: STNG ) (“Scorpio Tankers,” or the “Company”) announced today that it has entered into separate, privately negotiated agreements with certain unaffiliated, third party holders of its outstanding 2.375% Convertible Senior Notes due 2019 (the “Existing Notes”) to exchange $15 million in aggregate principal amount of the Existing Notes for $15 million in aggregate principal amount of the Company’s 3.00% Convertible Senior Notes due 2022 (the “Exchange Notes” and such transaction, the “Exchange Offer”). The new Exchange Notes will have identical terms, be fungible with and be a part of a series of convertible senior notes with the $188.5 million aggregate principal amount of the Company’s 3.00% Convertible Senior Notes due 2022 issued in May 2018. 

Closing of the Exchange Offer is expected to occur on or about July 17, 2018, subject to customary closing conditions. The Company anticipates $145 million in aggregate principal amount of Existing Notes will remain outstanding following closing of the Exchange Offer.
