Mr. Brain is following Mr. Aspin's lead in giving cash to PTOI. $50k now and apparently another $75k over the next few months. secured by the blending plant. The other director, Mr. Aspin, gave Mr. Heddle another $100k earlier this year after half a million previously.
As a refresher of the blending plant, previous CEO, Mr. Bordynuik, bought the bankrupt blending facility from his uncle for $130,000 CAD almost a decade ago...and certainly overpaid for it then. I'm sure the 'business' and plant is worthless by now but the lot might be worth something after ten years of inflation, at least after it's cleaned up.
Mr. Heddle put the blending plant up for sale for $1M...undoubtedly way overpriced but that might have been enough to convince at least one person that it was worth at least $125k. Mr. Brain probably won't ever see his money again. Maybe the lot is worth $125k by now...so Mr. Heddle may have found a way to effectively sell it for what it's worth.
