LEXINGTON, Ky. and MANITOWOC, Wis., July 12, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Orion Energy Systems (NASDAQ: OESX ) ( Orion Lighting ), a provider of enterprise-grade LED lighting and energy project solutions, was selected to provide energy-efficient LED lighting solutions to retrofit two manufacturing facilities for leading mattress company, Tempur Sealy International, Inc. The upgrade projects for Tempur Sealy’s Phoenix, AZ and Richmond, CA plants were secured by Orion’s sales agent BC Energy Solutions and were both completed in fiscal 2018. Orion and BC Energy have also commenced additional retrofit projects for two Sealy plants in Denver, Colorado and Hagerstown, Maryland.
The scope and needs of each facility installation varied, but the largest component of each project involved the replacement of 400-watt metal halide high bay fixtures with Orion’s energy efficient Apollo class LED High Bay fixtures, as well as other Orion solutions which consume less watts per hour and deliver more lumens per watt.
Phoenix, Arizona Plant (274,000 square feet):
