I'm a true long. Over 4 long years and I would welcome a buyout with open arms. Even if it just got me 50% back.... How many shareholders are there?
Dave mentioned 65% had voted. Are we talking about 20 investors? Are we talking 2,000? Would the majority be willing to sell? I would vote for anything that would get me half back.
We have made 0 progress in the time I've owned the stock. If funding doesn't happen before the end of the year it's NEVER going to happen..... It makes 0 sense to me why we haven't found a venture capitalist to lend us the money we need to purchase content... Either Dave is unwilling to give away a piece of the company or the legal stuff scares everyone away. We should have formed a partnership with a large business entity years ago.... I would have thought someone like ROKU, VIZIO, or LG would have put up money for an exclusive 4K channel. Since this hasn't happened it makes me believe our technology isn't anything impressive. If it was they would have bought up the remaining shares.
I like the idea of a channel on Direct TV. Would it make us money though? How much does it cost to run a movie? Is the idea to show the HD version and offer the UHD version on the app?
Even if we get the content I'm not confident we'd make money on it. The last time I heard of promotions they mentioned Podcasts. I don't believe our target audience listens to podcasts. That was popular nearly 7 years ago. Complete waste of money.
I did like what Dave said on the conference call about posting watched Ultraflix movies to social media. That is a good idea. Especially if a few celebrities did this. The best way to market a new company is exploiting celebrities with large fan bases, and properly using Facebook/Youtube/Pandora ads.
