Detroit, MI, July 10, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Marygrove College today announced that the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), its accrediting body, has reaffirmed its accreditation.
Marygrove President Dr. Elizabeth Burns said, “We are grateful that the Higher Learning Commission has reaffirmed our accreditation, which Marygrove College has continually maintained since 1926. Students and the companies and organizations they work for can continue to have confidence in the quality of a Marygrove master’s degree or professional certificate. Marygrove has met or exceeded the HLC’s graduate enrollment targets since the Fall 2017 semester and is on pace for this summer semester. We remain a viable institution in the city of Detroit.”
Dr. John Cavanaugh, president of the Marygrove Board of Trustees, said, “The Board wishes to thank the administration, faculty and staff of Marygrove whose dedication to transform the college from a liberal arts college with undergraduate programs to an all-graduate institution has made this possible. They have worked countless hours to create a top-notch learning environment for the graduate-level student, both online and on campus, delivering the high quality of study and preparation Marygrove has historically been known for.”
