OMG, seriously? I myself am an Atheist, I was

I myself am an Atheist, I was raised in a Christian household and up until I was 14 I would go to church every Sunday, root for Christians everywhere and loved God like no other.
Until I was introduced to Science and how ungodly like, my parents would behave, even though they'd claim to be Christians and playing Religious sports wasn't my thing, just because this guy's a Jew, Muslim or Buddhist, I couldn't force myself to see them differently.
The question one should really ask thyself is, do you want to believe or do you want to know? That's what got me, do you want to awe over these beautiful things, universe, solar system, sun or know how they work, are constructed, made out of, how did they come about, what is dark matter and why is it relevant, what are atomic and subatomic particles, what are the neutrinos, what really makes this whole universe work and because of such complexity that one never finish learning, that's why we share the knowledge from one generation to another, better formulas are devised, science books are updated as we know much more with newer generations, we move forward so we can have nice things, like Internet, TV, Radio, Cameras, Cars, Batteries etc., I would feel bad if answer to my kids questions would be "God created it! " I want to explain things to my kids to the best of my knowledge, if I don't know it, we study it together.
You weren't ever curious why did the scientists put earth at 4.5 billions years old, or what role do other solar bodies have on earth and how they impact it, why sun is where it is, what is moon doing here, what is it made out of and how they know when our Sun will turn to red giant. See, to me, Bible never provided answers to these questions and since then I came to the conclusion that nothing's as easy as Bible says it is, but the fact remains, Ignorance is a Bliss.
Maybe there is God, but it is definitely not God we or Religious people believe in, if there is something that created our Universe, we sure in hell don't want to meet it face to face or it ever visiting Earth as our demise would be inevitable.
Universe is enormous, it is incomprehensible to human brain, so brushing it off with a Bible would be the greatest sin to the Scientific community and humand kind, we need to learn, adapt, expand, colonise other worlds so we don't fade off into nothingness when our beloved sun swallows us whole or greedy people kill us off before Sun does it.
Peace!
