DUBLIN, Calif., July 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Giga-tronics Incorporated (the “Company”) announced today the appointment of Timothy Ursprung to the position of Vice President Sales and Marketing. Mr. Ursprung most recently worked at Rodelco Electronics Company as the head of sales in the RF/Microwave Integrated Microwave Assembly marketspace promoting highly complex solutions for Electronic Warfare and Radar applications. Prior to Rodelco, Mr. Ursprung was owner of a manufacturer’s representative firm for eight years, EOX Sales LLC, covering the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions of the United States. In addition, Mr. Ursprung was Vice President Sales & Marketing for Aeroflex Test Solutions for ten years in charge of all such related activities in the Americas. Tim is a 1982 graduate of Clarkson University in Potsdam NY with a degree in Engineering and Management.

Mr. Ursprung will be in charge of all activities related to new business development. Tim will also be supporting the Chief Technology Officer to identify suppliers of key technologies which will be integrated with the Company’s Advanced Signal Generation and Analysis hardware to provide complete Electronic Warfare and Radar simulation solutions. Giga-tronics will also be looking to grow its Microsource Business by repackaging its Microwave Integrated Circuits within its Advanced Signal Generation and Analysis hardware that can be used in Radar and Electronic Warfare systems in harsh environments.
