SAN FRANCISCO, July 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- INsecurity, an interactive conference focused on cyber defense, today announced the launch of its second year, to be held October 23-25 in Chicago, Ill. The conference, which will feature Black Hat Trainings for the first time, also launched its advisory board, which features some of the cybersecurity industry’s most prominent executives.
The eight-member INsecurity Advisory Board will offer first-hand insight and recommendations for the conference, which offers a unique combination of interactivity and defense-focused content for IT and security professionals. INsecurity will take place October 23-25, 2018 at the Sheraton Grand Chicago. For more information, please visit: insecurity.com/
“INsecurity is a conference where the majority of the content is delivered by people who are in the trenches – those that have to deal with everything from sophisticated cyberattacks to everyday systems administration to measuring risks and budgets,” said Tim Wilson, editor-in-chief of Dark Reading, which created the conference. “The INsecurity Advisory Board features leaders from all the key segments of cybersecurity, including enterprise practitioners, technology vendors, people with experience in government and defense, penetration testers and consultants. These are people who understand the cybersecurity problem because they’ve lived it.”
The INsecurity Advisory Board will offer insight on the conference’s two major tracks – Operations & Practices and Strategy – as well as Hot Topics, which enable attendees to engage experts and with each other in closed-room discussions. Each board member will pull from their extensive security background to suggest the content, trends, and challenges most relevant to today’s security professionals. The goal of the conference is to help IT and security professionals learn best practices not only from top experts, but by exchanging ideas with each other in a safe, collegial environment.
The INsecurity Advisory Board includes:
- Greg Touhill , President, Cyxtera Federal Group; Former CISO, US Federal Government
- Fred Kwong , CISO, Delta Dental Plans Association
- Roselle Safran , President, Rosint Labs; former security operations chief for the White House (Obama administration)
