#2) Take the 'social' out of prisons.
The Liberty Poll
When considering a person's prison sentence;
should the punishment take into account the extent his crime
turns out to actually be against society and then preclude
him from having a sweet and juicy society in a prison world ??
Can we find new way of leaving a violator his/her humanity
whole punishing them for using the energy they sucked from
society and civilization and then using it to commit harm.
Hard isolation is too much in my view as well as
things like 20 hours in a tiny bare cell alone.
If you don't want to kill them then don't do an inhumane thing.
So how can we work out
leaving a person their humanity while taking away
the networking pathways of luv human feelings, and society
that energy, they use to harm. < Our wealth and working energy
is honed by society and civilization. They need to learn that.
I would add to an isolation - by adding to those separate cells
an outdoor area the same size with some view of nature
while not allowing personal contact or touch - permitting only
sight and sound of each other and our employees.
Give the violator a mini-mini-efficiency with a threshold that
can be stepped over, not a soft place but being sure to not let them
have a town or a whole (criminal) society. To fuck or to fuck with.
Take away a number of amenities like social media and television.
Keep nutritious food but no desert no gyms and special entertainment.
Keeping classic literature including bibles - but no preachers [ at all. ]
Do teach them to read and write. And give them classic world history.
With all that I would much shorten sentences if it is for time to spend.
Reform after doing time is something after all that we might have
a chance to accomplish.
The death penalty is another question. People will sooner or later
have a crime that deserves the death penalty and it won't always
be the same as someone else thinks it should be.
Actually i would give that question some time after we get realistic
and hard-natural about punishment.
How to handle juveniles is yet another subject too.
I don't think we understand punishment or a person's needed
reform until we see & think of them both in the same breath and
coming out of the same issues.
Oh I would love to have a prison full of shit heads
and change things on them.
Talk about fun, oh man.
Policing, Prosecution, and Persecution exist to produce a
civilized state of laws as opposed to vendetta and vigilante activism.
Which, leads only to further busy and small points of view.
Society at this point supposedly works to do a thing you don't
have the time or ass-with-all to do.
Well my advice in that regard is if someone
very much needs an attitude adjustment on a personal basis
you be as discreet as f-ing humanly possible !! Play the game well !!
And do take the consequences if that comes up.
