BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., July 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TriMas (NASDAQ: TRS ) today announced that its Rieke business has engineered a new trigger sprayer to meet rigorous testing criteria and design features for e-commerce applications.
Rieke has designed the Ultimate-E TM trigger sprayer to address the e-commerce issue of liquids leaking when shipped in the small parcel environment. This innovative product design, which meets ISTA 6-Amazon test criteria, has no secondary inner seals the consumer needs to remove and allows for refills/re-use. The Ultimate-E also targets to reduce merchandise damage during shipping, which would provide a savings to the e-commerce market channel.
Rieke’s Ultimate-E, which is available in two versions, one for Heath, Beauty and Home Care products, and the other for Industrial applications, also eliminates the need for secondary packaging to prepare products for shipping. This in turn, would avoid additional processing time and cost, for example, related to adding tape on closure and nozzle locking mechanisms, using bubble wrap, and sealing products in zipper bags to contain leaks or shipping trigger sprayers separately.
