Long Post for Investors: S1E11 redflix
In the last episode of redflix (S1E10) I mentioned a group of us were talking with Rory. Jeff was standing next to me and I started chatting with him. Keep in mind the entire team was accessible and no one was hiding or quiet. You could literally go up to anyone of the nFusz team and chat with them. Likely you didn't even have to do that as they walked around and spoke with everyone. There was no question you couldn't ask, but obviously there were questions they couldn't answer (i.e. when are we going to be filthy rich?).
I think I joked about how I didn't see him on the floor and he said he was working on SEC filings. Actually I think he was on the floor when I was there but giving him some crap. Probably working on filings was/is a good priority I would say, eh?. Jeff grew up about a mile from where I live for the last 25 years. I go to the library once a week by his old house just to see the Book of Eli and the others before people forget what they are/were. (movie plug if people didn't catch it!)
One of my favorite biking trails is super close to where Jeff grew up. Funny how if you just talk with people, how much you have in common. Jeff and I exchanged a few emails a few months earlier so it was great to meet him in person. We talked a little about plans down the road. That road didn't seem too long. Someone told me that night, "We know what's coming". I forget if it was Jeff, someone else, or the Sandman. I can tell you Jeff and everyone else I met that night from nFusz were all smiles. This is after day two on the floor where I would be exhausted and know what's coming (i.e. day 3 and more foot pain!)
I rotated 90 degrees and there was Kurt. I really wanted to talk to him this trip about technology and was starting to think I may have missed the opportunity and there he was right there. I don't think I even did any small talk before firing off some tech questions. Who knows, maybe he also grew up a few blocks from me but I got excited and started doing the tech talk.
I posted before about our conversation. If you haven't managed very large development teams or environments there may not be much interest to anyone else. We talked about the two dev teams they ran in parallel. Where they were located and the nuances of working with teams in different countries and time zones. Then we got into the infrastructure, where it's hosted, how it's architected, scalability and more.
Our conversation went into the UI and how user friendly it is. We talked about the swing out menus, how easy they were to use and the coding languages that were used. When Rory says they are are light years ahead of everyone else, I and Buzz are sure of it.
I am really sure of that LY edge they have, having personally used or seen all the competition. It's stands to reason. This has just been recently developed and some of the products out there was developed 10 years ago. Go use a cell phone from 10 years ago and you'll see what I mean.
There were some cool features they were working on in April that customers will really, really appreciate. I really appreciated the conversation with Kurt and his time. Tech guys tend to tell it like it is with no filter. I love his sense of humor and chemistry with Denise on the webinars. I pointed out in one of Rory's video updates Kurt could be seen joking around. Maybe no one notices this thing except the rainman, I mean redman, err redspeed.

What a Rockhouse! I met TeamnFuszCC, Clint Eastwood (aka Joe), K-Man and got to spend more time with NT, Maui and others. Also got to talk to Dennis for the 10th time, he's my man!, Rory for like the 4th time, Jeff 2nd time, and Kurt 1st time and Denise is always there and everywhere. Not sure how she does it but I get the feeling all of this was her.
Sad to say this is getting long and too much of redflix can hurt the eyes. Guess there will be a S1E12 that finishes out the night after the Rockhouse with my friends and other stuff I forgot.
