Frontier Communications Begins Offering Green Energy to Ohio Consumers
Frontier Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: FTR), the largest provider of communications services focused on rural America, today announced the availability of natural gas and electricity in Ohio through FTR Energy Services. Customers will experience the same billing and the same service from their utility service provider but FTR Energy Services will supply clean burning natural gas and 100 percent green electricity at affordable rates plus five percent cash back on their energy supply.
“As a longtime, trusted service provider, we’re pleased to offer our customers clean burning natural gas and 100 percent green electricity, where available, alongside an offering of five percent cash back on their energy supply costs,” said Dave Davidson, Frontier Communications, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Ohio. “We are excited to bring customers the option to choose FTR Energy Services as their supplier and make it easier than ever to get clean and affordable energy.”
Customers can choose to enroll with FTR Energy Services using either an easy online enrollment tool or by speaking to a trained FTR Energy Services customer representative who will help them through the signup process.
“FTR Energy Services builds on Frontier Communications’ strong local relationships with its customers. Communities, customers, Frontier employees and shareholders will benefit from this service. It is a great addition to our robust home and small business offerings,” said Davidson.
FTR Energy Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of Crius Energy, a pioneer in telecom and energy relationships and the first to recognize the consumer advantages achievable through broadband and energy company partnerships.
FTR Energy Services will initially offer 100 percent green electricity through Dayton Power and Light, Columbus Southern Power and Ohio Power Company. Clean burning natural gas will be offered through Columbia Gas Ohio, Vectren and Dominion East Ohio.
