GreenMantra can thank PTOI for that. PTOI founder

The amount of fuel needed to ship boxes of spent markers is more on a weight basis than the markers themselves and that doesn't count for processing or other resources spent. Crayola teamed up with PTOI and they both knew it only looked green but wasn't. Neither cared--Crayola wants to promote a green image to customers, even if fake, and PTOI showed used markers being loaded into the hopper because they also wanted to give a disingenuous image to investors.
Crayola should be on one of the news shows for their continued years-long 'Colorcycle' fraud. It would make a great story. I never knew they were so unethical until PTOI's interaction with them. If it comes down on them, Crayola will certainly plead ignorance and say they were misled into believing the process, including shipping, was actually green. It just depends on whether the public will believe that Crayola is that stone-cold stupid or whether Crayola ignored the facts because shipping plastic garbage through the postal service benefited their image.
PTOI also paved the way swindlers to reach out to Madison County, which kept looking for plastic conversion long after they were swindled by Mr. Bordynuik. GreenMantra could sweep in there and offer Madison County their own solution--Madison County has given every indication that they'll fall for the same swindle again and again.
