Long Post for Investors: S1E8 redflix In season
Post# of 32636
In season 1 episode 7 of redflix I mentioned I was pleasantly surprised when I heard nFusz got their own booth. I also mentioned newbie companies usually get sandwiched in the middle of an aisle which is a crap spot. Oh no, not $FUSZ, the company that's transforming the world stuck in middle zone.
They were on the end of an aisle, prime location. How the hell did they get that spot? Maybe someone begged out at the last minute? If not, I would have hated to be the company that was asked to move because Oracle had someone they needed to give this prime location to. "Excuse me NSswizzlestickAppWriter. Unfortunately there was a bit of a mix up and we gave you the wrong booth. You need to be in booth 250 and nFusz is in this prime booth." Sorry, we'll move our swizzlesticks right away.
The nFusz booth was on the main path to the morning keynote sessions where everyone attends. For those that haven't been at a tech conference, what happens after the keynote is over each morning is a ton of people (oh the humanity!) stream out of the huge area, that can seat all attendees, and pour into the exhibit booths. The exhibition floor is not open until the keynote is over. You can hear an echo through out the floor by the people staffing the booth all saying almost in unison like every dad with their kid on a Ferris wheel, "Here we go!" I wish I was able to go to the keynotes each morning as they are usually good. Keep in mind at the LD Micro event, Rory did a keynote in the evening. Many don't know how significant that is an Rory is a very humble man. Very humble.
I don't know if Rory is an introvert or extrovert. Two things I know is he is very smart and very humble from speaking with him for hours over two days. That would be very interesting to learn how he rates on myers briggs or any of the others.
I am an introvert that has master the art of the chameleon protocol when up on stage in front of 100's, as in the business world, only the extrovert have a better chance of success, but there have been many books written that introvert make the best leaders and they are smart enough to do what it takes to lead and help other people learn and grow.
The nFusz booth looked great. I've seen a lot of booths in my day and this one looked great. Would draw you in. The white booth with the purple always stands out. Purple has always been a cool color ("purple rain" , while colors like green go in and out of style and blue is over used, or mostly used by one company but more on that later. For those that haven't see a pic of the booth, there are a lot online, but here's one. Continue reading, below the pic.
After 8 episodes, it's time to move on to day two of the Oracle SuiteWorld conference, which would be Wednesday April 25th. As I mentioned, I was working the week remote from the Trump Hotel and would try to break away at somepoint to do other things. Planet MicroCap Showcase 2018 was also out in Vegas that week and I registered to attend to see AMBS, but couldn't break way from work in time. The nFusz Networking Happy Hour Event as at 5PM in the Venetian.
For viewers of the first 8 episodes, you know what I am about to say. No nappy time and a long walk back over the the Vegas Strip. The walk wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't blazing hot outside even at 4:30PM and keep in mind this is only April. The other part of the trek was the Trump wall.
The location of the Trump hotel is very close to the mall (just across), but it's like the rest of Vegas said, "oh, you want to build a hotel, we have the perfect spot right over there". The over there is away from everyone and everything else except the erotic heritage museum. Don't even ask me what that is. I don't want to know but there were cars in the parking lot.
It's not the most pleasant walk to the strip as the fence forces you either into the street or to cross the street, but I was a man on mission. I need to get to the nFusz Networking Happy Hour event and be the first one there.
So after wondering around the Venetian in circles for awhile, I was hot on the trail of the Rockhouse. I stayed before at the Venetian years ago when my own company was launching so I know my way around a Venetian or two. The same person that laid out the hotel also must have been a consultant on MazeRunner 1, 2 and 3 the latter which was called the Death Cure. Well, that's a go see, date movie, happy movie.
I zeroed in on the Rockhouse with a combination of my iPhoney 5S and ghost protocal skills of watching everyone around me, without them recognizing me as middle aged MOAM. I was literally invisible and could move through the crowded walkways at will, as only those before who learned the MOAM skills and passed them down to future generation had like Chevy Chase.
What's a MOAM you asked? Did anyone here guess it before I give you the answer?
The five of you that said Moms On A Mission were totally wrong. Totally wrong!
But nice try and we'll find some worthless coins for you somewhere. MOAM is Man on a Mission of course. Please don't confuse that with MOOM. MOOM is Man out of his Mind. The "h" is silent of course. Although I do have a merit badge from that group, but trust me, you don't have to study to get it.
So I am storming norman (not my real name but just when I want to meet the ladies) down the hall and guess who in the world of all people I run into? Take a wild guess before I go on.
Mark Cuban? JLow? JLaw? JRory? Denise? Satya Narayana Nadella? (Not sure anyone know who that is but boy, now is the time to look that one up, quickly).
Those that were hoping for Denise were right. There was Denise and posse race walking me down the halls of the Venetian. She had 1/2 the years on me and 6 inches depending on how you measure on height so maybe longer strides. I wasn't going to lose this one. No way. We did small talking until she did the "I think you dropped your wallet back there" and I turned around and she took off on a run the other way.
OK, I am kidding. I don't have a wallet. At least a wallet with money in it. All my money is in $FUSZ. Before anyone invest in whether I found my wallet and which way Denise was running you should do your own DD. I must stress, you should not invest in whether I found my wallet or even actually lost my wallet or not. Do you own DD.
So whether a foot race ensued or not, the fact of the matter is, I gave her a run for the money. Bam! Old Guys Rock!
I'm thinking it was a tied but she might have a different story. She "might" have made it to the top security check point before I did. "Might"
I admit. It could have been we got there at the same time and I said, "after you" or she beat me fare and square. Or I walked into a wall that looked like the Rockhouse door. I know the truth, but have been informed by professionals to let them do their job and allow them to take the lead on whether I beat Denise to the Rockhouse or not.
Denise is ushered in to the RockHouse like a rockstar. and I'm about to say, I'm with her, when I turn around and all these people in line, that seen every episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm and I freeze up. I just can't pull off the chat and cut. I do have my gold bracelet from the day before that Denise personally gave me. Yeah that's right, personally GAVE ME, but I'm thinking the other 10 in line have the same thing, so to the back of the line I go.
S1E9 of redflix will let you know if I ever got into the Rockhouse and what was said that night of day 2 if the conference, It was a very long night. The rumor is, I spoke with Rory, Jeff, Dennis, Kurt and Sheriff Joe that night among a lot of shareholders, current and potential customers.
Let me know if you want me to write the last one or two episodes which would be S1E9 and S1E10. 20+ thumbs up I will or will just PM privately to the others that thumbs up prior episodes as not to annoy the others here. For those that thumbs up either way, I'll finished the story and PM it to you. It will be interesting.
