That deal went off the rails due to the Canadian company's regulatory oversight which left them with 500k cans that couldn't be sold in Canada with "all natural" written on the cans.
The Canadian regulations go above and beyond, even to prevent consumers from being "misled" by manufacturers. Rocky Mountain High drinks were definitely made with all natural ingredients, but the Canadian definition of all natural assumes that something mango flavored obtained it's flavor from mango fruit. If you add citric acid and "other" natural flavors and sweeteners to get the final flavor, that's ok, but you can't call it "all natural".
As a result, they had to shelve that deal at the time. The market is not only still there, but it's even better than it was then. With fully legal hemp and now fully legal MJ, CBD infused won't be a problem in Canada.
Those who stepped in that bucket of crap with the first try have since straightened it out, so it's not a big stretch to speculate that they'll pursue another Canadian venture once other pressing business is wrapped up.
