San Francisco Tourists Shocked by Conditions
< >
The former vice chairwoman of the California Republican Party said decades of liberal policies have led to an exponential increase in filth and homelessness in San Francisco.
Harmeet Dhillon said tourists have been "shocked" by conditions on the streets, including the amount of used hypodermic needles littering the streets of trendy neighborhoods.
Dhillon said other problems include piles of human feces left by the burgeoning homeless population.
She said leftist politicians like former mayor and current gubernatorial candidate Gavin Newsom (D) believe that "by giving out needles and coddling [them]" they can convince residents it will be a better city for everyone.
Dhillon called the city the "utopian petri dish of America" where all of the new "crazy liberal ideas" are tried and eventually farmed out to other cities nationwide.
She said many California liberals like Newsom are simply "enablers" for homeless people, drug users and other unsavory characters.
