Salty, I know I mentioned this before, but it is eye opening. In 1979 we had an alleged oil shortage. Gas lines all over Minneapolis/St. Paul and suburbs. A friend of mine was a Minneapolis cop. He was called to an abandoned gas station by a near by resident because of suspicious actions. it turned out a gas tanker was emptying gas into the abandoned stations empty tanks. The driver told the cop he was ordered to put it there. That was 39 years ago. Does anybody think our businesses, media and government are more honest now than in 1979? Hawks might, but nobody else.
By the way, you could go anywhere outside of the metro area then and get all the gas you wanted.
