I am not an expert on German pet market but I guess Germans love their cats and Dogs like anywhere else. Germany is a pretty rich country and people can afford to spend Money on their pets.
In recent time one could observe the rise of certain chain stores adressing everything related to pets. Some were a tremendous success In 2016 per capita the spending was $41 for pet food.

Article from 2014 saying Germans spend 9billion euros on on 11.4 Million cats and 6.9m Dogs. Dogs are costlier than cats.

Of you take into account that one in 230 cats or so are diabetic and the number of Dogs are also in that area you should assume that there is a market.
But what about GenUltimate coming to Europe?
Will that ever take place? Weren't there 2m one touch users in the EU that could be adressed?
