There seems to be a deliberate attempt to make people confuse the CRO having the raw data which they are analyzing, and the company's knowledge of such data.
To make it clear to those who have fallen into the waters that have been muddied by the basher:
The CRO can do the analysis without sending any sort of data to the company. That is the case with IPIX.
This means that the CRO has the data -- "unblinded" -- and is studying it. The company does not have this data.
When the CRO finishes the analysis, they pass the results on to the company. Then the company can determine whether the data needs further analysis or can be released via press release.
All this BS about how supposedly the analysis takes one week for 110 patients -- this is just garbage.
But at least we know for sure how seriously to take that basher's opinion.
Which is, of course, not at all.
