Twice in a Row: Karamba Security Awarded ‘Best Cybersecurity Product’ by TU-Automotive Judges

Market leader’s cyber prevention product recognized as best-in-class to prevent unknown threats, integrate seamlessly and guarantee zero false positives

DETROIT, June 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TU-Automotive --  Karamba Security , a world-leading provider of end-to-end automotive cybersecurity prevention solutions, was awarded Best Auto Cybersecurity Product by TU-Automotive judges for the second consecutive year based on innovation, industry engagement, user experience and market traction.

Karamba Security was selected for its innovative cybersecurity solution, SafeCAN , which was developed in response to demand from carmakers for authentication of in-car communications to protect vehicles against malicious messages sent by unauthorized Electronic Control Units (ECUs). SafeCAN can be employed with zero overhead on the in-vehicle saturated CAN network and assures car safety by providing secure in-car traffic and authenticated over the air (OTA) updates. "We are honored to accept TU-Automotive’s Best Auto Cybersecurity Product award for the second consecutive year,” said Ami Dotan, Karamba Security's co-founder and CEO. "This esteemed award coming just four weeks after being named Gartner’s Cool Vendor for IoT Security is further validation from leading organizations of our continued commitment to keep connected and autonomous cars safe from cyberattacks via deterministic, end-to-end prevention.”

Karamba Security products address the car industry’s most urgent pain points, which are not currently well-addressed by network security solutions available to the automotive market. Karamba’s solutions were designed to keep cars safe and ensure:

  • Zero false positives
  • Zero-day protection
  • Zero delays in time-to-market

Last year Karamba received the TU-Automotive award for its Carwall product, which offers seamless hardening of the vehicle’s systems and prevention of hacker’s exploit attempts with no updates and zero false positives. This year Karamba’s SafeCAN solution has taken the spotlight.

To learn more about SafeCAN and Carwall, visit Karamba Security at Booth B143 at TU-Automotive through Thursday, June 7 th .
