I just emailed a friend who knows more about the OTC Pinks and FINRA than all of us put together. He has dealt with FINRA for years and is on a first name basis with many there. I asked him off the record if he could find out about the ticker change. Here is his response.

XXXX, I hope all is well. ok so FINRA actions are confidential so nobody will talk about the progress before hand on a corporate action, but I will tell you that they have been taking longer and longer to approve them. I know of a few that took 6mo and even longer because FINRA really has been slow. SO, more than likely they are still good, just going through the motions. FINRA has also been very strict lately about allowing issuers to talk about their actions so they probably were told to go silent. Thats what it looks like to me. They will likely get approved, but it could take a while. Waiting sucks but patience is your only option at this point. Wish I had more info for you. Good luck to you!
