Share price charts of Japan Display Corp (LCD panel makers), LG (OLED display panel maker) and the OLED producer all show sign of topping out and are in a prolonged decline as sales of display panels slump. 2018 Q1 Net Sales of Univesal Display Corp (OLED producer) plunged to 2-year low of $36 million after topping out at $99 million in 2017 Q4. Possibly TV makers are standing on the sideline waiting for suppliers supplying the next generation of TV display panel: Electroluminecent AMQDLED TV panels. Accelerating production of TV display panels by Chinese TV display panel maker BOE Technologies and Tianma microelectronics with the intention of breaking the foreign monopoly and to dominate the global display panel market also contributed to the price decline.
