High School Senior Told She Can't Wear Army Sash at Graduation

A Pennsylvania high school senior is speaking out after her school told her she can't wear a U.S. Army sash at her graduation.

Toni Kress is graduating from Central Valley in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, on June 1, and she's already signed enlistment papers to join the Army.

She wanted to wear an Army sash over her gown during the ceremony, but administrators said she can't because it doesn't match the school colors.

On "Fox & Friends," Kress said she disagrees with the decision, but she will abide by the school's policy.

"If the school says I'm not allowed to wear it, I'm not going to wear it. I'm not going to disrespect the school like that," Kress said. "But if I do have a chance off-stage and I can wear it, I'm going to wear it."

Her father, Wayne Kress, said he's disappointed that the school won't make an exception.

"She worked hard for this. She went through the ROTC program through the school," he said. "In today's world where we have kids out there eating Tide pods, she's willing to stand up and fight for her country."
