God, Country & Golf': Charity Raises Millions for Families of Fallen Heroes

A charity that supports the families of fallen American soldiers held its annual Patriot Cup golf tournament on Monday, Steve Doocy reported.
Doocy spoke to Folds of Honor founder Dan Rooney and Rite Aid pharmacy CEO Kermit Crawford about their participation in the Owasso, Okla. event.
Rooney, a 20-year combat aviator, said Folds of Honor has given 16,000 scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen military members since its founding.

"Listen to the rumble of the [American] flags as the wind goes through them," Rooney said, standing on the green with Doocy and Crawford. "That's freedom."
Crawford said Rite Aid has donated millions to the organization, and helped construct a hot air balloon quilted with messages from children to their military heroes.
Country star John Rich and PGA golfer John Daly were also expected to make appearances at the event, Rooney said.
Outside of their charity golf game, the organization also takes a key role in the festivities at the annual Folds of Honor-QuikTrip 400 NASCAR race every February at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Ga.
