Keep in mind, all: biotech management does not "know" that a drug works, will be partnered, will be commercialized, etc. They generally know as much as we do except for the minutia of the data. They of course do know more about industry interest and partnership prospects, to the extent that such interactions are not public.
They tend to be smart and hardworking and optimistic, and always human. This is the norm. Ours are no exception.

Note everybody, to expand this thought, all mgt in every industry has no friggen clue what they are doing and they only have as much info as the stockholders except for some trivial minutia.
