CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., May 22, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Shuttle Computer Group, Inc., one of the world’s leading designers of small form computers, announces its new DH02U Series of 1.3-liter computers that pack the type of performance typically seen in large desktops. With four HDMI™ inputs, the DH02U i3/i5/i7 series is designed for video walls and digital signage in industrial, manufacturing, design, advertising, and other applications. They offer high performance graphics processing in a discrete, easy-to-install form factor.
“The DH02U is a groundbreaker: no other computer can match the DH02U’s power in such a small package,” said Tosh Akhgar, solutions manager, Shuttle Computer Group. “It provides a combination of performance, durability, and installation flexibility that makes it perfect for harsh industrial environments as well as those with limited real estate.”
Equipped with a 7th Generation Intel® Celeron® 3865U 1.8 Ghz 14nm Max. TDP 15W processor, the DH02U series supports 1.2V DDR4-2133 dual channel memory with a max capacity of 32GB (16x2). It’s equipped with the high-performance MXM 3.0 Type A NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1050 4GB GDDR5 graphics card; 640 Cuda® cores; and 1354MHz/1493MHz basic clock/acceleration clock for the fastest, smoothest processing and action-packed video.
The DH02U offers one built-in M.2 2280 (for storage) and one M.2 2230 (for Wi-Fi) slot to install M.2 SSD cards and/or a WiFi module or other compatible devices. It also has one M.2 2280 slot for different size devices of 2260/2242 Type M, etc. as well as an M.2 slot that supports both PCIe and SATA protocols, which provide a higher transmission bandwidth to drive high-performance devices.
With Shuttle’s exclusive heat-pipe cooling module with smart fan design, the DH02U Series has constant air circulation between the inside and outside of the machine resulting in greater stability for reliable, long-term, 24/7 operation, especially in challenging environments. These small computers require significantly fewer cables and have no daughter board, which makes for easy assembly as well as enhanced thermal efficiency and system stability due to increased airflow. The DH02U is suitable for 0 ~ 50 ⁰C working environments to meet the environmental operation demands of commercial applications.
The DH02U provides one RS232 port that supports 0V/5V/12V and can connect easily to peripherals such as a thermal printer, label printer, or barcode scanner. An adapter can be used to convert RS232 to a USB port to connect even more devices. The series boast two native USB2.0 and four USB3.0 ports; the USB3.0 supports up to five Gbps which provides great access speeds that are ten times greater USB 2.0.
Online management features include Wake On LAN so users can access the computer from sleep mode, rest mode, or when powered off via the internet. The series also automatically powers on if the power supply is briefly interrupted. With the External power button and a clear CMOS four-pin-connector at back panel of DH02U, users can also power on the machine by a separate remote line; external clear CMOS function allows users to reset the BIOS without opening the chassis.
Shuttle also offers an optional accessory, the WLN-M, a wireless LAN kit that includes a M.2 2230 card, two antennas, and cable for increased flexibility. It is fully compatible with Shuttle’s XPC mini-PCs &Slim series PCs, supports Bluetooth 4.0 technology and IEEE 802.11ac/b/g/n Wi-Fi wireless transmission standard.
The DH02U Series will be available in July and will come with Shuttle’s three-year limited warranty on parts and labor.
