Tri Cascade Announces New Products for Builders of the Future Smart Neighborhood with Three New Wireless Connected IoT Products

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., May 22, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tri Cascade, Inc., a subsidiary of SkyFidelity, Inc. (OTC Pink:SRMX) and an Internet of Things (IoT) technology company, is pleased to announce the addition of three groundbreaking smart neighborhood solutions to the company’s suite of energy efficient IoT products at the 22nd annual CONNECTIONS™: The Premier Connected Home Conference, hosted by Parks Associates May 22-24 at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco. These next generation IoT smart neighborhood products include the THERMORING Narrowband (NB-IoT) smart thermostat with Edge Computing capability, NB-IoT i-BRIGHT AIR quality sensor device and i-BRIGHT Smart Light Dimmer.

According to research from Parks Associates, up to 70 percent of U.S. broadband households express strong interest in smart home packages that feature multiple cross-industry benefits and 49 percent plan to purchase a smart home device within the next 12 months. With the addition of these next generation IoT devices, Tri Cascade aims to help builders construct entire neighborhoods with true built-in interconnective IoT smart home technology.

“The development of a true smart home cannot be achieved with third party aftermarket devices—it starts with the builder,” said Max Li, president and CEO of Tri Cascade. “The Tri Cascade IoT eco system is designed to be integrated into the home during the construction phase. Tri Cascade is the first to be able to provide the technology builders need to develop entire smart neighborhoods with connected IoT infrastructure before homebuyers ever move in.”

Tri Cascade’s THERMORING is a giant leap beyond the current smart thermostat technology which consist of Wi-Fi connected devices coupled with mobile app operation. Instead, the THERMORING operates via NB-IoT and eliminates the need to establish Internet connection via a router.. Instead, this smart thermostat is a SELF-INTERNET device built with 1G Edge computing and serves as the technology hub for tomorrow’s smart neighborhood with an IoT Gateway AP mode capable of providing additional Tri Cascade products a network connection without a router.

Connecting with the THERMORING is Tri Cascade’s new i-BRIGHT Smart Light Dimmer. This smart lighting system can be integrated during construction to provide built-in voice-activated technology to control lighting throughout the home without the need for a third party app or device.

Tri Cascade’s i-BRIGHT AIR is a highly sophisticated NB-IoT air quality sensor device, which also bypasses the need for a router by using the THERMORING 1G Edge Gateway to achieve Internet connectivity. This air quality detection device measures various forms of air pollution, temperature and humidity. The i-BRIGHT AIR comes in three different versions—an indoor model for the home, an outdoor model for monitoring air quality throughout the smart neighborhood community and a third model for use in parks, forests and other areas where a wall outlet connection cannot be achieved.

“Smart home products are pushing into mainstream channels, with consumer interest in many smart home products steadily increasing,” said Tricia Parks, founder, president, and CEO of Parks Associates. “CONNECTIONS™ will look at the role of value-added services in the smart home, emerging business models, and the impact of business models on the competitive landscape.”

Li will also participate in an interactive panel session centered on voice-activated smart home technology at CONNECTIONS™ entitled, “Voice-First Experience: From Smart Speakers to the Whole House.” CONNECTIONS™ includes more than 650 executives and focuses on ways to engage consumers and grow revenues in the converging IoT industries, including smart home, connected health, and mobile and entertainment ecosystems.
