Washington, D.C., May 21, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Maverick PAC (MavPAC) will hold its annual Mavericks Conference in Austin, Texas for three nights beginning May 31st, with special guests Senator Ted Cruz (TX), Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush, Governors Greg Abbott (TX), Asa Hutchinson (AR), Karl Rove and other prominent conservative leaders in business and politics. MavPAC was founded by a group of young political fundraising bundlers in Texas in 2004 and as the organization celebrates its 15th anniversary, it appropriately returns to its roots in Texas – the unofficial heartland of the Republican party. More than 200 hundred MavPAC members from over a dozen states will gather in the state capital of Texas.

Other prominent speakers at this year’s conference include Representatives Carlos Curbelo, Mike Gallagher, Elise Stefanik, and Will Hurd, as well as candidate for governor of Hawaii and state Representative Andria Tupola. Additionally, Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter Chris Destefano will perform at an after party for attendees.

The Mavericks Conference is the annual gathering for MavPAC, the nation’s premier political action committee for conservative young professionals. In the 2016 election cycle, MavPAC contributed more than $140,000 to GOP candidates running for Congress, and the organization is projected to contribute more than $200,000 by the end of the 2018 cycle.
