ANDI/UTOP Myth #8 "The Company has gone quiet and
Post# of 29251
ANDI/UTOP has always been a long-term play.
Early on, shareholders had access to company officials via email, Twitter, and/or LinkedIn. It was actually pretty awesome!
When the stock share price initially surged to almost 4 cents, it was due in a large part to all the Hype & Anticipation generated from shareholders. I will admit, some of the Hype & Anticipation was caused when Mike was overzealous with a couple of his statements. When the bigger news didn't catch up to all Hype & Anticipation to keep the share price up, the share price dropped back to a more reasonable and reflective level of where we really are at. There were a lot of angry folks when that happened. Company officials received death threats and 100's of not so nice emails.
Mike admitted "things moved faster than we expected and we were not prepared for it"
Access to company officials ended, hence the IR Department was created to handle shareholder questions.
Occasionally, the company did release some lesser news such as, the first phone will be unveiled on this date. Because it wasn't the bigger news that many expected, some shareholders became angry because it only allowed folks to take advantage of the stock and flip it. Many shareholders pleaded for the company to hold all news until the company was ready to release the bigger news. Folks were even more hateful toward the company. Does one really wonder why the company has gone quiet now?
"But due to strict NDA we cannot reveal any more details", Obviously, the players involved with ANDI/UTOP are very restricted on what they can share with the public at this juncture. That should not be unexpected by anyone of us. It's just a good business practice for a startup company, in a very competitive field, to be very cautious on what they release to the public. The company would be fools to tip their hand until the ink is dry on contracts and phones are being sold.
So, has the company gone quiet, probably, but due to all the reasons stated above. All understandable & acceptable. Frustrating, yes, but the company has not disappeared as evidenced by the progress being made on the company web page and the comments occasionally made by the company on twitter.
Once again, a myth is dispelled and we see how awesome this team is. Big things coming to the shareholders of ANDI/UTOP! GLTA!
