A man claims he was verbally attacked by staff members at a Cheesecake Factory for wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat.
Eugenior Joseph, 22, said on "Fox & Friends" Wednesday that he and his girlfriend's family were dining at the Miami restaurant on Mother's Day.
Joseph said that his girlfriend noticed a few employees making gestures toward him, and that one employee was talking about hitting him hard enough to knock off his hat.
"They were clenching their fists and they were just standing behind me, trying to scare us," he said.
Joseph said the ordeal "completely ruined" Mother's Day for him and his girlfriend's family.
"It was just sad," he said. "Everybody was disappointed."
He claims that employees were shouting at him and clapping as he walked back to his seat from the restroom.
"It was just really wrong," he said.
Police were called to the restaurant, according to a Daily Wire report, but no charges were filed.
A video of Joseph shows him with police officers in the background.
"Just because I wore a Trump hat," he says.
The restaurant chain in a statement apologized to Joseph and said two employees involved in the incident were terminated.
Joseph called President Trump a "true American" and said that he is "what the country needs."
"Donald Trump is like everything we've all needed [in] this country."
Joseph also said he would "definitely not" return to The Cheesecake Factory again.
