Johnstown, PA, May 15, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The national “2020 Women on Boards” campaign has recognized Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) as a 2017 Winning Company. The 2020 Women on Boards organization is a nonprofit 10-year campaign focused on increasing the number of women who serve on corporate boards to at least 20 percent by the year 2020. This is the third year that 2020 Women on Boards has named CTC a Winning Company for its commitment to board diversity. CTC’s Board of Directors includes two long-standing members, Margaret DiVirgilio and E. Jeanne Gleason. This year, the CTC board added two more impressive women to its ranks – Heidi Shyu, Sc.D. and Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Camille M. Nichols, Sc.D. In addition to the CTC board, these accomplished women serve on other boards, including those focused on higher education, the arts, the defense industry, science and technology organizations, and more. “We are honored to be recognized as a Winning company by the 2020 Women on Boards organization, because we understand the value of diversity in the boardroom” said Edward J. Sheehan, Jr., CTC President and Chief Executive Officer. “The women on our board provide invaluable contributions, and we are grateful to have them in our organization.” Of the 2020 Women on Boards database of nearly 3,200 companies, CTC is one of 1,151 companies to achieve the Winning recognition.
