Taipei, Taiwan, May 15, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute (henceforth referred to as “NTCRI”) will hold the Interior Lifestyle Tokyo 2018 of May 30, making it a check-in hotspot of craft boutiques. The craftworks of Taiwan are blended with life aesthetics and cultural features. Combined with cultural creative designs, these products not only become household and living appliances that fill one’s life with surprises but are also worthy of global appreciation.
This year, NTCRI once again leads outstanding domestic brands in holding an international large-scale exhibition to showcase the cultural creative craft competitiveness of Taiwan, thus pushing Taiwanese craft designs into the global market. Eight of the Taiwanese cultural creative enterprises will take part in this year’s exhibition, including Carpenter, Good Gold, Eguchi Toys, Indigo Dyeing House, iThinking, Sumee Su Jewelry & Metalcraft, Motor Design, and Liao Sheng Wen’s Lacquer. A total of 32 Taiwanese craft boutiques will be displayed in this exhibition, which are all integrated with life aesthetics and cultural features. For example, the unique “May Snow Indigo Dyeing Silk and Cotton Scarves” made with traditional techniques that represent the ecological and cultural features of Taiwan; “Cloth and Lacquer” dyed cloth with raw lacquer, presenting versatile colors while maintaining the features of chalking resistant, soft and good drape; “Stork” was designed and made based on woodcraft while combining the education ideas of Montessori; due to its features of easy-to-get, happily-used and good storage, “Rhino Hammer” makes power and beauty consistent; “Craftsman’s Hand-made Coffee Set” creates adorable coffee sets with the mellow features of wooden quality and texture; when enjoying tea, “Between Squares and Rounds” enhances life and recreations into the level of spiritual conscious; “Spreading Light” uses Japanese Kumiko techniques to present the light shade of blossoming flowers during sunrise, while there are also astonishing and fashionable household appliances of “Seasonal Glamour: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter” that is carved as window decorations with simple lines to present the features of the four seasons and express the harmonious beauty between flowers and vases. These exhibited works all mend craftsmanship into living appliances and create countless possibilities for contemporary household life. They further create a living art filled with aesthetics.
