Grasshopper, the chances of Platinum acquiring DECN are less than 50/50, probably a lot less. If Platinum is going to acquire Lifescan, which I rate at >70%, they will also inherit Lifescan's "not invented here" mindset. It will take awhile to rid the new organization of that mindset. It cannot happen too quickly since Platinum will need Lifescan management to help them through the acquisition of the declining asset. Lifescan management is the only management they have. Perhaps Platinum should hire some DECN stock traders since they all appear to know everything about everything in the at-home glucose monitoring market. And hiring DECN shareholders to run Lifescan would allow them to continue bashing and libeling Mr. Berman, as far as I can tell, the only thing that these DECN shareholders are good at. But I digress.
Lifescan has endured the "not invented here" mindset that has pretty much sealed their fate fate since their Ultima product concept was set to be denied by the FDA in 2011.
